BAD NEWS: They fundraise for fake causes. Lots of glowing articles were written about them by respectable journalists. Apparently the essence of their organization is they go into adult entertainment / sexually oriented business and give cupcakes and referrals to community resources to the women employed therein.
They also fundraise very aggressively and constantly. They have at any given time multiple fundraisers on various crowdfunding sites mostly Razoo. The CEO : one Joy Hoover has lots of videos on youTube and articles where she fundraises for a clinic that supposedly serves women in the sexindustry at no cost to them. I donated a substantial amount of money only to find out the clinic closed its doors over a year ago for good ! Its called Operation Hope. I did my research and the folks operating it are no longer in town even. I feel this is a scam. Upon further research I stumbled across various websites where the population they claim to serve and support - the women in sexindustry say they are a scam and dont provide any meaninful services at all just referrals to outside social and human services agencies. They do not even have a good relationship with their target demographic ; strippers and brothel workers. Many establishements have stopped letting them in even. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND DO NOT BLINDLY DONATE. it appears to be a scam. Joy Hoover is a con artist, it seems. Cupcake Girls said donations are non-refundable so they get to keep the monies.

They purport to help with emergency housing, transportation and various other needs. The only form of "assistance" they give the lady is to refer her out to existing social & human service organizations, basically forcing those charities to bear the burden of helping the ladies. They shamelessly solicit donations online via various crowdfunding sites but especially on Razoo. Gullible people donate money thinking ladies are being helped, but ladies are actually being turned away and farmed out to other public & private charities while Cupcake Girls pockets donations but provides no services.
