Jorge was doing work in a neighbor's apartment-one day we asked him to come to our apartment to discuss refacing our kitchen cabinets. We discussed the work and the price and ultimately agreed to offer him the job. On May 6th we Zelle'd him a down payment of $2900 (we have the electronic receipt) but to date have received no schedule of work, samples-nothing to indicate there is work being done. Before this past week or so Jorge was taking our calls and telling us he was working on samples, however, he has recently stopped taking our calls or answering our text messages. We have messaged him a few times asking for our money back but we have received zero response. Jorge's phone now has a message stating the number is not taking calls and he seems to have blocked my husband as the text messages are bouncing back.
