Customer service evaluation contacted via text. Text stated that I had been selected to be a secret shopper.

I have received instructions to purchase American Express Gift Cards. Also enclosed a check in the amount of $ 1,870.20, to purchase the Gift Cards in increments of $500.00 and the remaining amount of $350.00 is my payment.

I recieved an email from a hiring company who said my resume closely matched with a company looking for "customer service evaluation assessor". The job entailed going to different companies and being a secret shopper. After this I was told I was receive further instructions via mail. The next day I received a check in my name and an 'assignment' sheet with very detailed instructions. I knew it was a scam as soon as I read the first line. The day after receiving this check I received a text from someone claiming to be with the company and asking had I received the check. immediately went on line to report this scammer.

Priority mail

Check made out to me with letter of instructions to purchase Visa cards at cvs, Walgreens and target and send picture of front and back to the phone numbers listed. Bonus $200 available if completed within 24 hours ( so not time for check to clear)
