[email protected] Reports & Reviews (1)

- Hanover, MA, USA • Jul 10, 2024

The company called me pretending to be USAA which is my bank and they stated that they were from fraud protection and that they got a suspicious wire transfer from my account. The individual knew my name and called from a USAA number that matched the one online. The individual sent me a secure link to login to my account and when I got confused facetimed me to see my screen. He then told me that the best way to get the money back was to transfer it into my account through Apple Pay. I trusted the individual since he could tell me about my recent purchases with the card. He then gave me a phone number to send the money to and had me add it to my contacts Once I did this he instructed me to transfer the money which I did. He then abruptly hung up on me and then called me back multiple times to which I didn't answer. I have filed a police report and been in touch with my bank.
