So I found this website to buy a Maltipoo puppy. I gave them my contact info and the puppy we were interested in. They emailed me back, saying the puppy was still available. We sent corresponding emails back and forth. The emails they wrote were not in proper English. They were located in San Antonio, TX and we live in the San Fransisco bay area. So we were going to have the puppy transported to us. We talked to the guy on the phone, he said we could send him the money through Zelle. It took 3 different contact info to get the transfer to go through. But it finally did. Then he took the puppy to Royal Mail Transglobal Shipping Co, the delivery service. Who then contacted us. Then all of a sudden we got an email saying 'due to extreme weather conditions the puppy needed to be transported in a special electronic carrier and we needed to send the money within the hr. They gave us 3 choices of carriers and only a pic of 1, which looked like a regular carrier. The prices were $1800, $2400 and $3400.' Supposedly, it was 100% refundable when we got the puppy. When we started questioning why they needed it, there was no extreme weather between San Antonio and Oakland. They went into it was for the puppies safety. I asked what airline they were flying in on, no response. Why the hurry within the hour, there were no flights out til morning? Just to get everything ready for an early morning flight. Then we asked if we could FaceTime with the puppy just to see her live. They told us no, they couldn't do that. We looked up the delivery service and found out it was a scam. We text the delivery company and the contact person where we got the dog and told them we know we were being scammed. No response from either 1 after that.
