On March 17, 2021I contacted the website above... https://cutemainecoonkitten.com/available-kittens. I chose two kittens that I wanted to adopt. I contacted the "seller". He responded with questions to verify what I wanted and what kind of home I would provide. I knew he had broken English, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He said with payment of $850.00 I could have the two kittens delivered to my door from Dallas, TX to Yacolt, WA this Saturday 3/20/2021. I asked what guarantee I had that with payment I would actually get the kittens. He assured me he was a Christian man and I could trust him. He told me the way he collects money is through the Zelle app. I loaded the app on my phone and attempted to pay him, but my credit union doesn't authorize payments through Zelle. I contacted him by phone and talked with him. He said to go to WalMart and get an American Express Gift card. Send him a picture of the receipt, the front and back of the card. I did purchase a $500.00 gift card, the largest amount I could get on one card. I contacted him again. He said just send the $500.00, and once we get the kittens to send the other $350.00. Before I sent the money, I asked for proof that he indeed had the kittens and that they would come to me. I asked for a picture of the kittens with a paper with my name on it next to the kitten to prove that he indeed had the kittens in his possession. Once I asked for that, I got excuses. He said he would do it in the morning. I told him he would get the money once I had the pictures of the kittens. I told him he could also do a video of the kittens and mention my name in the video of the cats. Nothing came. I contacted him two more times to remind him that I was waiting and he would see no money until I had the pictures or video. I heard nothing. I knew it was turning out to be a scam, so no money went to him. I want his website shut down, others to be warned of him. When I did a search for the address, there is no Nathan that lives there. What can be done to shut him down?
