3/16/17. I was on the website cutiesshihtzuhome and was interested in one of the puppies so I pressed contact now and gave the website my name and email. They got in contact with me and told me the puppy was available that I would need to send the $480.00 to them via money gram through CVS/Walmart. We decided to send the money because we felt what they had told us was true. They then told me I needed to send them a copy of the receipt in which we did. They told me they had coupons to have the puppy shipped free. I asked if they could ship the puppy on Tuesday since I was off. They told me know problem. Tuesday 3/19 in the morning I received an email stating I needed to send $900.00 to pay for insurance to cover the puppy during flight in case something would happen to it and that I would get the $900.00 back as soon as I received the puppy. I thought this does not sound right and called my husband who works at an airport and he thought this did not sound right. I started looking up the websites for the pet carrier but couldn't find one with that exact name but there were names of pet carriers that where similar. I then received a call from a gentleman that said he was from the. Pet carrier and asked me to pay the money. I asked him tons of questions and he sent me the website. This gentleman called me another 5 times but I did not answer the phone. I did notice the phone call was coming from Georgia. I then emailed the so called breeder telling them I would not pay the $900.00. After several emails back and forth the breader they said they would pay half and I would pay half. I told them I would not pay anything or that they could send their portion to me and then they would get their money back. The breeder proceeded to send me multiple emails insisting that they were trustable and I should trust them and just send the money. The breeder also told me they were an elderly couple raising shihtzupups and doing it not for the money but for the love of the breed. After looking over several scams and websites i came across another websit wisdom[censored]zus that had the exact same puppies. I tried calling that number and the number was busy. I then sent an email back to the breeder telling them that I knew I probably wouldn't hear from them again and that I knew this was a scam and how I found the website with the exact same puppies and how I trust them to be honest. I have not heard from them since.
