Laptop locked. Contacted by Cyber IP Security. Laptop unlocked. Contacted by one of their reps who said my identity had been compromised and now linked to malicious account and if I paid $599 they could eliminate the problem. Not sure if they have any of my personal information.

Computer alert locked my computer and was directed to call "this number" to unlock it. Person was very informative and spent a lot of time telling me how I could reinstate the computer and secure it for life with lifetime technical support from them 24/7. A $1500 e-check was created by me and then they took my computer over too re-set the settings and install their security system. They managed the scanning of my e-check and sent documents to my printer. Fortunately, I did some research and discovered their scam, called my bank to stop payment on the e-check and am now working with Dell Support to review the status of my computer. Ugh!!!
