I looked online for a Yorkie puppy and came across this website www.dakotayorkshireterrier.com (they changed the name already) and looked at TinyYorkie puppies. I notified them that I would like to purchase a puppy via email. They answered by email but didn't give me their phone number.I was so excited to buy a puppy so I continued to "chat" by email asking lots of questions about the puppy. He would respond and even sent me a video of the puppy playing with him but did not show his face. (I guess he got the video from another website same as the puppy pictures). I finally selected a puppy and was told the price, (see the quote) "Our puppies have always arrived safe and sound in their new homes. Believe me when I say it is better and more comfortable to fly a puppy on a 2-5 hours flight than drive with that puppy for 6 hours or more. Shipping Candy to you will require the following for a PetSafe travel program; - Certified Health and immunization certificates - $50 - Airline approved crate (soft-Crate N2 Series) - $55 - Climate controlled pet class flight fee - $45 For a total of $150 The shipping process normally takes between 6-18 hours to complete. So the total to have the puppy over to you will be $450 plus shipping of $150 making a total of $600. " We settled on $450.00 total since he said he happened to get "free airline" tickets". I paid him thru Zelle from my bank and we emailed back and forth on how it was received etc. He told me the airlines would be texting me with all the information as far and flight number and time to pick up the puppy. That they would be calling me by 9 am. I waited all day long and it didn't dawn on me until about 1 pm, that it was a scam. I called my bank and disabled my Zelle account and reported all this to the bank. The are investigating to see what they can help me with and hopefully a refund. I did look in the internet and ScamPulse.com for scam alerts but didn't see anything on this person BEFORE I did anything. After the fact, I put his email on the internet and to my surprise saw that he WAS a scammer. Here's another quote from him:"We're based here in Pennsylvania which is over a thousand miles from you so I think we might have to ship her though I guess you should be wondering if it is safe or not."
