They pretended to be a legit website selling puppies. We paid for a puppy named Teddy (who is still showing for sale) and we paid $600.00 plus $150.00 to have him flown from them in Pittsburgh PA to *********. We contacted them the following day for flight info and they said they had turned it over to the flight carrier (Swift Upfront Movers). They gave us their phone number. We called them and was told he would fly out on 1-7-22 and be delivered to our home from the airport. Then they called and said the weather was really bad there and they needed to put him in a heated crate. We had to send them 1566 dollars for the crate or they wouldn't put him on the plane and that the Swift carrier would refund our money at time of delivery for the crate. We did a zelle payment through our bank. Then they called back and said we had to pay flight insurance on him of $2,330.00 or they would have to hold him in a warehouse overnight. This really upset us. We tried to do a zelle payment but our back would only allow us to send #1,000 more that day. We sent the $1,000 and they told us they were holding him and when we sent the remainder money the next day he would fly out. The next day 1-8-22 we sent $1,000 zelle payment. They contacted us and said to have our bank cancel the zelle payment and to send American Express gold gift cards instead and he would be on the next flight. We ran out and purchased them. We had to take pictures of the front and back and send them to them. We were told he was on the plane. They even sent the flight info. The plane was suppose to arrive at 8:20 and then they were suppose to call us before bringing him to us. We got no call. We tried to call them...no answer. We went online and checked the gift cards...2 $500.00 ones and 1 for $330.00. They had spent them at the Apple Store and Macy's Bloomingdales store. The transactions showed pending. I contacted American Express and they said they could do nothing. I'm contacting the stores tomorrow on 1/9 but I'm sure they won't help me either. We are SO heartbroken because we thought we were getting this puppy and now we're out $4,669.00 total.
