6/24 I was contacted by a buyer when selling my daughter's prom dress through Facebook Marketplace. The buyer sent payment through Zelle. I then received an email asking to upgrade my account by adding additional money or I would not received the money for the dress. I offered to refund the money to the buyer as I did not want to send additional money. When I sent the money through Zelle, I then realized I'd never received anything and the emails were scammed. I contacted Zelle who hung up on me after saying I had to contact ** bank. I also requested money via Zelle to the buyer which was declined. ** Bank cannot stop the transaction until it is posted and not pending. I once again contacted Zelle and was cut off and hung up on even after saying I wanted to report Fraud.
