Type of a scam Online Purchase
His website is sloppy looking, there are misspellings and cultural slips that make it appear that he is outside the country and certainly not Texas, as he claims. There are also electronic red flags with his footprint which I will not go into specifics here because I don't want him or others to read this and make it easier to scam someone else - I've done fraud investigations as a law enforcement officer and have friends who do them for the private sector and I'll just say there were several red flags that alone may not necessarily indicate anything, but added together they almost certainly indicate fraud.
He refused to accept credit cards, and only took Veno, Paypal, Zelle, etc. He claims to sell firearms on his website, yet he has no physical address listed on his website. Federally Licensed Firearms dealers are required to have physical store fronts. He could in theory have a home based FFL, but if you look at the photos on his Facebook page, it clearly looks like a retail location with store shelves and such.
His "tradecraft" on his Facebook page is sloppy, again things I won't detail here. I also located another Facebook page "Daniel Rivera Ammo Shop" with his photo on it as well... similarly lots of red flags with that Facebook page, the most notable a review from July 22nd which states "DONT BUY! RIP OFF! Took $867 and did not ship ammo! Claims Venmo refunded $. False!" That would be a big red flag I suppose.
I confronted him about his scam via messenger, and he asked me some questions and then either blocked me or shut down his Facebook account.
