I saw an ad on facebook market about a 2006 Toyota 4runner selling for $1,200. I viewed the ad and it took me to a website dedicated to selling that vehicle. I contacted them and was given an email address and was told to email the advertisers "sister" named Danielle. we emailed back and forth and she explained the car was her husband's car, that he died 4 months ago, and she was in the military stationed in Virginia and was preparing to leave the US for a year and that she needed to sell the car ASAP. she explained that I would need to buy 6 ebay gift cards with $200 dollars on each of them. It was only when looking online for these gift cards and where to purchase them did I discover this ebay gift card scam. After looking back at the ad posted on facebook I saw it was taken down along with the website.
