The email was received today, July 16th around 8:15pm in regards to reviewing an application I submitted on the INDEED job website. I remembered submitting this app, but can't remember the date. This is the email information that was sent to me on the next email. I submitted my application which included my address information as well as my social security number and a copy of my driver's license. One thing that had me concerned is when she started ending her email messages with "cheers", but this was after I submitted the application. I am so mad at myself for not paying closer attention. I have emailed my email chain with this person to the federal trade commission.

I applied for a customer service representative position with the IRS on indeed. I received the above email stating I was shortlisted for an online interview and to contact Danielle Bethune Bergeron with my availability. After, replying to to email, the person sent a short form application to complete requesting, name, address, social security number, and front and back of DL/ID. Unfortunately, under the assumption that this was a legitimate email from an IRS recruiter, I sent in all requested Personal identifiable information before realizing it was a scam. Once I realized it was a scam, I confronted the person via email stating it was a scam, but the person never replied. I would like to know how I can safeguard my identity and assets against the is scammer since they now have all of my PII information?

They asked me to fill out a form with personal information like address last 5 years of my address , social security number date of birth. Every thing you can think of to steal someone identity. i replied back because i did apply for a job on indeed.

Applied for a job on indeed as a CSR for the IRS. Interview was offered and inquired personal information for Zoom meeting.

Pretended to be the irs recruiter and asked me to fill out a application for a job. I gave my personal info including ss number’s and license

- Memphis, TN, USA

it said that my resume was a good fit for a customer service contact and i had to send in the front and back of my state identification
