I am the owner of a Healthcare Staffing Agency and was contracted to staff Town & Country Health & Rehab in Clayton, MO. I provided them with Healthcare Professionals to care for their Residents from late December to April. During this time, they services they incurred totaled $140,000. They then refused to pay, stopped answering phone calls, stopped answering emails for a while then later came back asked for a payment plan, unknown to us, they were working on a name change and a "purported" transfer of ownership to different owners. Apparently, the new owners have nothing to do with prior debt but the funny thing, the previous owners Town & Country Health were owned by the Goldner Trust who also own the current owners Athene Nursing and Rehab. This facility has had at least 2 name changes and with the experience of talking to some of my staff members, this is something they had experienced before working for other agencies before so I believe this Trust or the owners of Town & Country Health and the owners of Athene Nursing and Rehab have some kind of scam in which they sign contracts with insuspecting Agency owners to provide them with staffing then at some point they don't pay the invoices and then find the next unsuspecting staffing agency all along while going MIA on those who have provided them with employees and whom they don't have plans to pay. Iam sure there are other Agencies out here who have suffered this fate. This is fraud and these individuals need to be held accountable. This trust, these owners receive Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance payments for the care of these residents in this facility and for them to run this scam, is really sad, unfortunate, disrespectful and criminal, something needs to be done and whoever is running this scam needs to be held accountable.
