I have Zelle through my bank (Chase) and sent $720.00 on 12-26-20 to [email protected]. They asked for photo confirmation that I had paid so they could begin prepping the puppy and making travel arrangements. I took a screenshot of the transaction (and redacted any banking information). I labeled the recipient as Dapple Mini Dachshund which showed on the screenshot, and they said they said they wanted the name to be Junias Ngankam. I told them that shouldn't matter as that is just for my records and they said okay and to let them confirm they've received the payment. I didn't hear anything back from them after that. I reached back out later that day and asked if they were able to confirm they've received the payment and they said yes, that they had and would update me when they register the puppy. After that, no response. I reached back out two days later because I hadn't heard anything, and I've not received a response since. I got suspicious after I sent the last text message and did some research online and learned that this website has scammed people before. I tried to immediately cancel the transaction, but the bank told me it was too late and the money had already gone through. Chase reported the incident to Zelle as well, but the money is lost.
