When my friend found Daveshihtzu, and was contacted by a name named Dave Ricky, she believed she would receive her puppy! This man answered all phone calls, which is typically unusual of scammers, and was pretty responsive through both the email address I provided, as well as the phone number. We Zelle’d this man $1,200 and were given a tracking number through a shipping company called South Pacific Logistics. Things got a bit more sketchy once we tried contacting the so called shipping company, and was led straight to voicemail each time saying “the person you are trying to call is a textnow subscriber”.

Needless to say, around 9 pm, we received a text and an email from a person called Morgan Smith, stating we needed to send another $1,800 for pet insurance, or else the puppies wouldn’t ship. At this point we tried reaching “Dave Ricky” back, and he claims to have “no idea what is going on” and that he would contact the shipping company. So far, we still have not heard back from him.
