I downloaded Skype and prepared for a video chat interview only for my request to be immediately denied. I didn’t find it suspicious at the time so I moved forward with the interviewing process via Skype messenger. After a very brief and informal introduction “David Hay” asked if I had seen his website and then sent a link , I’ll admit the website looked super weird but I was desperate. The he began to ask me interview questions. The rapid fire of questions and the lack of response to my previous answers made me a little anxious and I felt a bit of pressure. I didn’t think anything of this either because some people are just extremely persistent and I come from the medical field. After the interview was over he let me know that he would tell me whether or not we were moving forward with my employment. He contacted me the next day to let me know I had gotten the position as a consultant for him. He then sent over a contract and asked for my ID card and then later sent me a link to IDme.com where I complete a face scan and he was extremely persistent at this point. Pressuring me to share my social and submit the contract all in the span of 30 minutes. I found it extremely odd at this point but completed the paper work and gave my social, which I deeply regret. After the process was completed through the IDme link he then confirmed he received the contract and everything he needed to move forward with my employment. I felt uneasy because now this stranger has my social so I started asking questions regarding the arrival of my equipment and instructions to start working. I was supposed to start on 9/13/21, but I have yet to start. Prior to my start date I messaged him via Skype and asked more about the equipment and he said it would be send on Tuesday. Tuesday came and still no equipment so I asked for a tracking number,but he said the vendor is still expecting shipments of said equipment. He then told me I would have to get it from a new vendor. I then tried to contact him for days on end even past my expected start date. He ignored me for days until I told him I would like to terminate our contract. He kept specifying an amount of $1800 being sent to my bank account and when I asked how that will be done he told me that he needed my routing number and my username and password. Of course I provided none of this information because I already gave too much with my social and I should’ve known but I need a job. Now I’ve been trying to call him today 9/14/21 and he does not respond to voice chat or video chat via Skype. I told him to call when he has the chance but I think this man is up to no good and I would not like to fall victim to this crime. Please take him down.. thank you
