My mother-in-law got the same call 330-731-1953

My mother in law got the same call, in San Jose, CA saying my son was in a DUI accident. He had been arrested and had a lawyer and case number. Good thing my wife’s sister and brother-in-law were there. She was asked not to say anything to us (the parent’s). And apparently she got really quiet and was actually sucked into the sca.m. She was ready to give all her money, which she doesn’t have much. My brother-in-law took the phone away and talked to someone…he wrote down David Rosen, the phone # to which he actually bought it too…he wasn’t going to send money, but actually believed my son was in jail. Funny thing was, we had just talked to our son not 5 mins before. I called the number, A person called back. I ask d if this was David Rosen. He tentatively said yes, I gave the case number. He said hold on a sec. And then asked the name. I told Him that he should have the name on the case file. He started to get upset and said , hey man, you called me. I responded with I was asked to call you. Then I couldn’t handle it and said, I know this is a scam in which he replied with a myriad of expletives and I responded in kind. That was the end of it

I answered the phone from West Florida Hospital phone no. 850-969-4553 and there was a young man pretending to be my grandson. Calling my grandma (which I do not go by) and I asked ***** why are you calling me grandma, he had been in a bad wreck last night that he was fixing to be detained by the Escambia County Sheriffs Dept. Do Not tell anyone please let this be between us that the other person was hurt. He was given a lawyer that is really nice that is going to help him get out on bond. Lawyers name is David Rosen phone no. 330-731-1953, my (so called grandson who I really thought it was at the time) told me his lawyer was going to call me within 5 mins to tell me about his bond. I then called my son-in-law over to tell him what was going on with this called, I then got a call from David Rosen at 330-731-1953 and he preceded to give me a case number A1017 along with telling me he went before Judge Thomas at Pensacola Court House and my grandsons bail was $9,800.00 and that I needed to send that amount in 2 letter sized envelopes in 1 padded 8.5 x 12 envelope with the cash inside the lawyer then told me he would give me direction on how to mail it and where to mail it.. meanwhile while I was on the phone with this so called lawyer my son-in-law got ahold of my grandson and he was ok not him. So I know this is a scam now. Please watch out and called your family member to verify or the hospital never send cash or trust phone call.
