I followed up with the company the following day inquiring about this exorbitant charge and was told to send the invoice, which I did with a scan and email. Except for a brief phone call 3 weeks later, that was my only opportunity to speak with a representative of the company. I have pursued this with the CC company, the Florida Department of Ag Consumer services division, the AG "Seniors Against Crime" Project, and the services of an attorney. No help at all. The attorney said that Florida is a very business friendly state, this type of experience is common and advocacy for the victims is virtually non-existent. I am attempting to pursue this through the Lee County small claims court. By the way, the garage door repair failed 29 days after the initial event. I used a different garage door company, who repaired it for $150. He noted that parts installed by the CR garage Door tech were faulty and he used some of the original parts, removed by the CR tech. I am sending this to you since the company, CRgaragedoor.inc of Naples, claims on their website to be ScamPulse.com accredited, yet on the ScamPulse.com website it is stated that they are not accredited, having an "F" rating.
I am calling upon you to use the means available to you to put an end to this scam and charade.
