My college age daughter was called from (305) 765-4189. They knew her age, college and one of her primary college clubs. The male caller claimed that he was with the DEA and that she was part of an investigation, essentially that someone selling drugs and money laundering under her name. They threatened her to comply and said the call was being monitored. She was directed to 2 branches of her credit union and liquidated all but $500 from each account. They then directed her to the Bitcoin machine at the American Convenience Store 11340 Huron Street, Northglenn, CO 80234-3011. She entered all of the cash into a Bitcoin wallet that was provided via QR code. She also entered her SSN into the machine. The middle aged women in the convenience store certainly saw how scared she was and saw the amount of money going into the machine but didn't ask any questions or offer any support. We assume this may be a common occurrence at this store, so want to report this to the ScamPulse.com to investigate.
