I purchased a treadmill from dealsblackfriday.shop. They claimed to be a Costco Affiliate and used the Costco logo but they aren't even affiliated. The price was very low for the treadmill ($59.89) but they claimed it was a Black Friday deal. Afterpay was an option for payment so I selected that and used my Afterpay account in order to make payments. Afterpay immediately took the first payment of $14.97 from my account. I pretty quickly realized that dealsblackfriday.shop was a fraudulent website due to the very limited items on their site and very low prices and reached out to Afterpay right away and they send messages telling me they are investigating and they never resolve anything and continue to show a payment schedule to pay the remaining $44.92 that will be taken from my account. The contact info for the retailer on Afterpay was listed as TerraTrek / daoallday.com, support email [email protected] and phone number listed as 783-456-9012. The dealsblackfriday.shop website now has been taken down, no one has replied to my email I sent to [email protected] nor [email protected] which was the email listed on dealsblackfriday.shop before it was taken down, and the phone number listed is not in service. When I first made the purchase, they claimed the treadmill would be sent out within 2-3 days, and nothing was ever shipped or received nor any correspondence other than the email thanking me for my order right after I ordered. I've explained my attempts to contact the supposed retailer to Afterpay many times via chat and email and they continue to keep my payment schedule in place stating they're waiting on an update from the merchant. Don't assume because a website has Afterpay as a payment method that they have been vetted as a legitimate business by Afterpay, because this is NOT the case! Afterpay only cares about money and not the customer. I'm really glad I didn't enter my actual credit card number into this scam site and feel sorry for anyone that did.
