I responded to a website selling boxer puppies. I gave them my phone number. They called me and said the puppy I inquired about was available. They requested payment upfront via PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle. I sent $300 first when that cleared, I sent the additional $400 using Zelle. Once the money cleared they said they would arrange shipping and contact me with the info the next day.The next day they contacted me by email with another website from the shipping company with a tracking number for the puppy. Shortly after that they requested an additional $980. for Shipping insurance. That’s when I realized this alll was a scam.
