Contacted multiple times by text (10+ times) eventually took a phone call. My phone identified it as spam, but I took it anyway. Caller purported to be acting for Scotiabank regarding a lease matter. Knew the exact amount of the debt. Offered to discount it by 20%. Was unaware of any of the details of the bank account. Requested e-transfer for the amount to be sent to [email protected]. I took all the information, checked the website which is for educational software, and here I am reporting the scam.
