Scammer, World Processing, Monica J*****, called asking for just my first name and said they had my social security number. They said I had a Capital One account. The card amount due was originally only for a couple of hundred dollars but now it is up to $4300. But I could settle for $1000. I asked them for the name and company, she gave it. But when I asked her for the address, she became belligerent. She said if I didn’t pay, she was going to send this to the court in my county upon which I will probably end up paying $8000. I did tell her that I had a bankruptcy and the card was written off. So she said ok, she sees the bankruptcy on file and the credit card was not part of the bankruptcy. She said she would call my lawyer that is named on the bankruptcy. She did know his name. She put me on hold for maybe 30 seconds. She came back then saying my lawyer confirms that the credit card was not part of the bankruptcy. So I told her I will deal with the court. She said ok and said I would be getting a summons. And hung up. No real information was ever given out and she could not give me any information.
