About a year and a half ago, I started getting calls from phone numbers with the same area code as my cell phone. They called me constantly. I mostly didn't answer, but sometimes would pick up and ask who they were, they had Indian accents and seemed like scammers so I would hang up. Over the past year, they are now directing me to another phone number with 866, or 877 area codes, saying that I need to call this law office, it's a business matter, and there is legal action against me. I called the number because then I thought "oh no, this must be real" and the woman I spoke to said she was from the process servers office, and was calling me by name that was extremely close to mine. It was the male version of my name with the same last name ex: if my name is Josie brigerton, she was calling me Joseph Brigerton. And asking me if that was my name. I wouldnt tell her, I just kept asking what is this about, she said she couldnt tell me anything until I confirmed it was "joseph brigerton" bc it was confidential information. she said they were trying to locate joseph, to serve him with papers of a case against him. She said that she had attempted to contact him many times and bc he hasnt responded, the court will become public record. I ended up hanging up on her because I still thought it was a scam. She has called and left messages with her full name (if its real) american name, her phone number, and a case number. In the last voicemail she said she was going to start looking into my income and contact my work. There have been different women calling me now saying the same thing on my voicemail, but giving me different case numbers. I dont know what to do. Im terrified to confirm or deny my name because it seems like a scam, but what if it isnt?

I was called several times from a company claiming to be superior mediation group. They called me and my brother saying i owed a debt to webloans which i have never heard of. They told me i needed to pay 451 today or they would file civil action against me. Then when i asked for a supervisor I was told they had none. I was told they wouldn't send me a letter to prove the legitimacy of the debt. They had my name and last 4 digits of my social. I gave them no personal information. They claimed to have my address and email. Then told me my account was forwarded and i wouldnt hear from them again. They never gave me any info about the debt just the company name and how much i owed. They wouldn't they provide a phone number for the company or anything else.

I've received this message at least 2-4 times a week for past 2 months.::::::: Hello, this message is for XXXXXXX (my name). My name is Amy and I'm calling on behalf of the State Processing unit. Paperwork has been faxed over from the offices of Benson and Jacobs. They're asking us to file a motion tomorrow on behalf of the County Courts. This may result in a wage garnishment or liens, and we will be sending a process server out to XXXXXXXXXXXXXX (my actual address). If you'd like to speak with someone before the motion is filed, please contact 877-700-9314 again that's 877-700-9314. Your pending file number is XXXXX. Thank you and have a great day
