Scam

Left me a message about a debt that had been through many agencies. Clearly its some small debt from years ago that is passed the statute of limitations for collecting. They cant legally collect the debt anymore so they try to scare you into paying it.

yes..uh. hello good day this is Chris..uh. With DMS Payments..uh...Debt Management Services …..uh.. reason we're trying to contact you we had an account that was placed with our office it looks like it has been through several collection agencies already …uh. at this point we do need to ..uh. determine whether or not this is something you have any intentions of resolving voluntarily …um we appreciate your cooperation in advance please either give us a call back or if you prefer electronic go to our website Dmspayments.com

From what I can tell it’s a scam but I called and one number says they can not find my number but when I call another number It does identify me and says my full name. I’m so confused. Is this truly a scam? If anyone can help out that would be great. I have now called numerous times and phone rings off the hook except the one time it stated my name but said no one was available but if I didn’t answer correctly they would reach out to relatives. Help! Thank you so much

They are back. These scammers are now on their 7th website in over a year. This is a scam phantom debt collection racket. Formerly SMITH GREGORY then ASG RECOVERS then KBS COLLECT then CAROLINA DEBT SOLUTIONS then APEX DEBT SOLUTIONS They are even using the same recycled phone numbers. Do your research. They are fraudsters and scammers. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! They call from 325-399-7465 205-660-0180 205-627-7004 205-656-1162 312-667-2828 737-295-0885 843-582-0554 803-991-4084 559-206-4140 205-583-7609 *** newest numbers are 737-275-6470 640-500-4416 561-782-1835 their fraudulent website was set up and registered on 10/3/2022.
