Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
First a woman gets on the line to collect “debt” information. How much you own and how many accounts. Then transfers to a man to handle collecting personal identifying information.
I was told that it was a debt relief program and that they had information that I owed approximately $40,000 (I don’t know how they got that info but it was correct) in debt and they could help me cut my payments in half.
I was told they needed to do a soft pull from my credit to evaluate all that they’d need to handle for me and they asked identifying information such as name, address, birthplace, last 4 of social, etc.
When I asked him for the actual company name, he would not give one, instead kept saying it was a debt relief program and gave the website address selfdebt.com.
He refused to give a business name but kept saying “they” work with ALL creditors and settlement firms to relieve debt.
When I asked what business name is registered on the ScamPulse.com website, he kept encouraging me to look at their reviews on their site. I said I needed a name for ScamPulse.com and he said when I’m ready to join I should call back and then hung up.
