Deceptive advertising Reports & Reviews (1)

- Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Reported to the Colorado Attorney General's Office on 09-22-2023.

This is a deceptive business practice. We have received a "Final Notice," like the one attached, from this scammer almost every week for the past year. The scammer has obtained old mortgage information for my property (Cherry Creek Mortgage) and is sent in order to intimidate the property owner into making an immediate phone call to obtain "up to date" home warranty coverage. The sender uses a deceptive looking official check and threatens the homeowner with financial liability for repairs. The letter has no return address; only a phone number. The listed property ID number is fictitious as well. This scammer is not affiliated with my mortgage company.
