I've backed up much of the hard drive, only to today (February 2023) get an email that I've violated their copyright policy. I have uploaded my purchased music that I've accumulated over the years and they are now claiming (no mention until now) that my account will be terminated. This is a very common scam for this company - they sell lifetime subscription, omitting their copyright policy at the onset until after purchase, and then terminate accounts after only a few months for them to save on server costs.
They also claim to be secure, but it's clearly not since I do not feel comfortable with them browsing my content at their leisure to determine what they unilaterally deem is unacceptable. They have an appeal option in the notice but based on their history (see the constant Reddit complaints here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Degoo/), they do not stick to their word and use additional shady tactics to get people in the door and then threaten their data to be deleted on an undisclosed policy.
I would like a refund of my purchase as well as make sure that this company is held accountable for their shady practices. Thank you.
