A person with an Indian accent identified himself as "Johnathan" from Dell. He informed me that my Windows update was not working properly and that the servers were reporting that the update could not go through. He was anxious for me to go to my computer where he was going to direct me on how to fix the problem. I did not go along and instead asked for a call back number where I could reach him. I then checked my computer which did need an update so I did that manually, then I called Dell support (not the number the scammer gave me.) The Dell representative told me that Dell had made no calls to me and that the person who called was scamming me. He further informed that Dell will only call a customer when there is a current open ticket and there was none. I did a reverse lookup on the number I was given and it came back as a private number out of Liberty, Texas.

This company suckered me into buying a SSD drive for my computer, they pretended to ship the item to me even sending it to a shipper, and then immediately contacted the shipper to have it sent back to them. I've never heard from this company since.

As I work from home I get numerous call everyday (solar, medical, Dell and Microsoft Reps claiming my computer is sending out a virus) and I always hang up. However one day I received a call from someone representing themselves as Dell Technical support to discuss an issue with my laptop. The most disturbing part of the call was that they addressed me by my name, knew what type of computer I had and knew the service tag #. Now I know that Dell never calls customers to initiate a repair issue, but the fact that they had all my information indicates someone has hacked Dells customer base, or it was an inside job. I didn't engage the person and said I would have my person take care of the issue and hung up. What really bothers me is that Dell probably knows about this issue but has not made any attempt to contact users or take out a public notice to let customers of this scam.

I have received a total of 8 calls already today from this number. I answered one call about 2 weeks ago and told them that if they continued to call I would report them. They told me that my computer was sending out viruses and that I had security issues with it. I contacted the company I bought my computer from and they told me to report it as scam. The guy told me when I said to stop calling, "How am I going to pay my rent if you don't purchase the service for your computer?" I told him its not my problem, you work for dell, you figure it out. I am getting really annoyed with the amount of calls I'm receiving from them.

At least twice a week I receive telephone calls from alleged Dell Support Techicians. The telephone calls are identified as an 800# on my caller id. When I respond hello; no one answers. I have used *69 and each time a different number comes up. 866-405-7713, 855-926-2257. I have blocked these telephone numbers, however, the caller insists that my computer is giving off a signal which requires their intervention in terms of security for my computer. I have asked them to stop calling as there are no issues with my computer. I most recently had a bonafide techician to check on my PC and no problems have been noted. Other than continuall blocking the numbers is there any way to avoid these kinds of situations. ( Please know that I have also just recently registered my telephone with do not call. gov. I have no examples to attached other than the aforementioned telephone numbers. I have not fallen for this scam, I am just simply tired of the annoying calls. Sometimes as often as twice per day.

Today alone I received 13 calls from 1-800-624-9897 claiming to be Dell Customer Support and repeated calling over and over between 10:52AM - 5:50PM and now while typing this complaint I receive yet another call. I am being harrassed by a group of foreiners claiming to be Dell Customer Service! This same group pretended to be Microsoft Office a few years ago and scammed me once already where I actually purchased software that I never received. Someone needs to stop this!

I'm constantly receiving calls from someone claiming to be from Dell Computer Tech support that my computer is sending them error messages and that they want to take control of my computer to fix the problem. I called Dell and they said there is no way my computer is contacting them, I would have to contact Dell. They once called from an (845) phone exchange and most other calls are from (800) or (888). I've even called the police complaining about the aggressive manner they use to take over my computer.

This company claims to be Dell Technical Support . The company named a computer that I had 5 years ago with all of my information. They called and harassed me! I feel so uncomfortable now. They called me several times from 1-800-624-9897. The caller was reading from a script trying to force me to provide my name and address. They verified my current address.

We have had several calls over the last two days from a person who sounds like they are from India stating we have a problem with our computer and they are calling from Dell. Then they have called wanting to list our number for a dell book.mevery time they have called we have said no thank you and do not call back. The phone number they are calling from is 1-403-295-2729. We have not had any problems with our computer and in the past if we have had a problem we have contacted deal thru their website this has gotten to the point of ridiculous and it needs to be stopped. Dell does not contact their customers you have to contact them is what the representative told me on the phone. Please alert people that dell has stated this is a scam and do not fall for it. Thank you for your time.

They say they are with Dell computers & when you say you're on to their scam they hang up. They call at least once a week & I'd like to find out how to stop it!
The scary thing is this last time when I called the # back, it actually went to Dell computers.
I've also had a tax one & said "never call me again!" & the scammers said "I'll do what I want!" Then called me back from a different number. Every time the caller sounds middle eastern.

Victim Location95109 Total money lost$149.92 Type of a scamDebt Collections
Today I was contacted by D&S Global Solutions on behalf of Dell. They are requesting a payment of $149.92 which the subject says Dell Non-Term CC Clean-Up. I do not have any orders that add up to $149.92. Dell sent my account to collection despite the fact that I pay for every item, and I have placed numerous orders with them online and through their sales agent yet I have a missing payment. This is slanderous and deceiving. Please look into this matter.
