My elderly mother (88 yrs) was coarsest into opening a credit card with Woman Within by on of the representatives. They said she would save money on the purchase. During the process they asked my mother for her social security number. Thankfully she did not give that. Her next billing statement from Woman Within was a lot more than it should be, there was NO savings with the Woman Within credit card. After four phone calls with people who barely spoke English I finally spoke to a supervisor who explained my moms bill to me and my mom. My mom sent in a payment for $37.00 on Oct. 2nd which was not posted yet with Woman Within by Oct 16th so now she has another $41.00 fee. I asked if they receive the payment today or if we pay over the phone with a credit card would they waive the fees. Ivan a supervisor employee number 4970 said no. Each time I spoke to a representative they ALL asked for her social security number. Which I NEVER gave. Each time they had a difficult time looking her account up. They needed her account number. Which we only had the last four digits. On her billing statement it only listed the last four digits. My mom ordered some tops, which she returned for a different size. There was no record at Woman Within of that. It was very frustrating that they coursed my mom, an elderly woman into a credit card which only resulted in fees and no savings. They representative were very unwilling to waive any fees and help with her account. My mom is on a very tight budget, and she thought she would save money. Nope.
