I was attempting to call Delta customer service at (800) 221-1212 and inadvertently dialed 800-221-2121. The person that answered the call pretended to be a Delta Customer Service representative. He requested a payment of $400 to purchase a ticket that was already purchased with 42,000 sky miles.

I googled ‘pet reservation delta’ to add my dog to an upcoming flight reservation. The website ‘delta—airlines.com’ came up with a customer service number & Delta logo. I followed the prompt for the phone number & the 1st representative asked for my delta confirmation number (which I gave him) then proceeded to tried to charge me $225.00 for my pet reservation, when I said I have never paid that amount before for my pet travel he hung up. I called back again spoke to another representative (gave my delta confirmation number) said I wanted to add my pet to my reservation, he told me the cabin was booked for pets & he would rebook a new flight for me. I told him NO & wanted an explanation as to how the flight was booked for pets when I spoke to the other representative less than 3 minutes prior. He said the $225 was to ensure a spot for my dog, insinuating the charge was for adding more pets to the designated cabin than allowed. I asked to speak to a manager and he hung up on me. I went to my delta app & called a different customer support line (the one I called above said reservations) the REAL Delta agent informed me the company I spoke to was not Delta & that the fraudulent company cancelled my flights. He was able to fix the problem and add my pet to my reservation. I have attached the website info for reference. This company is stealing peoples money.

Google search for Delta customer service, in order to change a connecting flight. They waived the change fee but said the cost of the flight, purchased with air miles, had gone up and we needed to pay over $180 to cover the airfare difference. They told us that we would see the change confirmation within an hour or two. They even provided a name and number to call back if it didn’t show up on our reservation. A couple of hours later we called back and the same person said it should happen soon. Another hour later, tried calling back and no one would answer the phone. Started researching and found it wasn’t Delta’s website. Turned off payment card since charge had not yet posted. However, we now have to put out fraud alerts, cancel card, and hope we get a new one while on vacation. Otherwise, have to go to the bank to get cash to pay for things during trip.
