I purchased a CavaPoo puppy from a breeder on Best Dream Puppy Home website. He didn’t give me any information as to what to expect on the travel information. I first received a call from Delta Airways Logistics to check my email quickly and to get back to them ASAP so they can precede with having her delivered. The email was worded poorly, there was no information about the company, name, address or even a signature. I was told that the crate she was dropped off in was not suitable to the harsh conditions of flight and needed to pick one ranging from $1000-$1800 and a vaccine was added to this price. I replied to the email confirming the information and chose the $1250(cage & vaccine). I was told this would be completely refundable upon receipt of the puppy. I didn’t understand the vaccine since she was supposed to be up to date on everything, the name of the vaccination wasn’t even mentioned. The man on the phone didn’t give me any information either as to what was going to happen. It just had to be done now so she could make the flight. He then called back to say the insurance for her had expired & I asked how that happens when I thought the breeder took care of that when I purchased her. I was told that was $1500 & again refundable. I could pay Apple Pay or Zelle neither of which I use. He insisted she couldn’t fly until it was paid & the flight was leaving soon. He kept asking if I had cash & go to the bank he would give me a Western Union address. He didn’t have very good phone edicate, he’d raise his voice to talk over me to listen to him, he pressured me to getting a cab to take me to the bank when I didn’t have a car. I couldn’t get the funds in Tim& she stayed the night at Delta. They sent me a snapshot of a flight from Colorado to Cleveland with a stop at JFK because there were no direct flights to Cleveland. It didn’t have flight number & he didn’t give me a tracking number for her. I would get that when she left JFK. I asked for a picture & was told it was against company policies. I got a call later from them to check my email & get back to them. She somehow contracted the parvovirus, needed to the quarantined & given antibiotics $2500. The email again wasn’t very professional & the link about the virus wasn’t accurate either. I questioned them about this she was fine when she left & was told she got it from another puppy & was very ill. My payment didn’t go through & the breeder was hounded me to pay the fees because the agency was on his back, the agency was calling & texting me to pay the fee so she could be sent. I was pressured to go to the bank & send them $2750 to cover the fees. I was sent to a Bitcoin & instructed how to send it. I still owed $3000 & could pay the rest the same way and they’ll put her on the next flight & everything was 100% refundable. The next day they kept calling & texting me to pay & even threatened to sue me. I called the breeder to send her back & wanted a refund. I should have trusted my gut and terminated the purchase.
