Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
A broker with an alias that I do not recall using (917) 208-2723 asked me if I needed working capital for my business and I answered YES! He said he had all my information in the system from other brokers and he just needed three months of statements to see if I qualified for better conditions.
I proceeded to provide the last three of my bank statements which were Dec 2021, January 2022 and feb 22 and a march month to date.
A couple of minutes later this "broker" called me back and said that I should be receiving a text or email from a " senior funding specialist" named Rob Fisher of "oak capital Grp. Rob texted me an hour later this message "Helga how are you it’s Robert with oak capital give me a call back . We have an approval on a line of credit for your business starting at $250,000,"To which I replied, No disrespect intended, but I am tired of this fake "line of credit approval" narrative. I’m so busy and spend so much time on the phone with all these brokers lying through their teeth to get my data and sell it to other lenders only to turn out bogus. I don't have time for this.
Long story short, I was scammed out of over $7000.00
Below is what I found online after doing my research and realizing it was a scam and I believe these are the same folks.
