They included a coupon in the Valupack mailer. The coupon says "whole house air vent cleaning" for $199 and lists the regular price as $499 (which is comparable with other companies I checked with). For a $500 value, we fully expected the ductwork to be cleaned/vacuumed. Their email made it sound like they would take off all vents other than ceiling ones or "hard to remove" ones (but would for an additional cost). My husband stayed near him, feeling something wasn't quite right. He tried to get my husband to "leave him to work," but my husband stayed close and asked questions. He was LITERALLY only going to wipe the vent covers with a cloth. THAT'S IT. He said that the ductwork would cost an additional $250, even though there are "no hidden fees" listed everywhere. This is clearly a bait and switch scam. They advertise a $500 value, which most companies provide full home air duct cleaning at that price. So a coupon for $200 with a $500 value implies a deal. Who would pay $200, let alone $500 to wipe down their vent covers?!?! My husband asked him to leave immediately (which he did).
