He called my cell phone, addressed me by my correct first and last name, and presented himself as a Department of Homeland Security agent and said that several packages were being held at a port in Florida. He said these packages were addressed to me and that they were all filled with illegal drugs. He gave me his badge number of DHS1272. He gave me a case number of 2024 FLUS 01130. He said that DHS officers would show up at my door with arrest warrants and that I could face 9 years in prison and that I should get a lawyer. I accused him of being a scammer and said I would wait for the officers to show up at my door. I then filled out an online hotline report with the Department of Homeland Security.

The scammer claimed to be from the Department of Homeland Security. They claimed that someone was ordering drugs using my name in Miami Florida and that these drugs were in packages from China. They asked for financial information. I told them I'd rather submit to an in person review of this information, asking them where I would go. They claimed to be in Miami, but upon reviewing the area code used for the call, I could tell they were lying. When they realized I wouldn't be playing along with their scheme, they promptly hung up on me.

I hung up and then called back. A female answered the phone and I told her someone from this number called me. She then asked for Natalie, and I could hear her typing on a keyboard, and I told her no one here by that name she had the wrong number and hung up.
