Received call from unknown #, (512-234-1552 caller-ID displayed location as Burnet, Tx) so I didn't answer. A message was left stating the call was from the Social Security Administration and the reason for the call was to inform me that they suspended my social security number because suspicious activity was found. If I wanted to know about this case just press 1 thank you. *End of message*

The caller from 877.701.2133 posed as Department of Social Security Administration "suspending" my SSN and asking to press 1 to learn more. See the attached transcribed message image. I reverse number searched and found nothing and called the number back cautiously and it said it was a Direct TV line - that then pushed me to this number: 800.531.5000. I waited until I received a "customer service rep" and the line stated they would be recording the convo. I reminded them I was on a National DNC registry and told them of the nature of the call. Let them know I'd follow up on this highly suspicious activity. See the image below of the vm transcription.
