I know this is probably not the correct form but the car forms for the lemon laws. This is about being charged for services that should have not have been performed on my car. And they were going to try to gauge a second time and have all new brakes and rotors put onto an almost new car. So here is the story that I have sent to the NYS Attorney General's office. I brought my Mazda 3 into the local Mazda dealer to have them check out the noise from the rear breaks. I purchased this car from Garber Honda in Rochester NY but since it was less than 30 days from purchase the local Mazda dealership should be responsible. So Depaula Mazda said you need all new rotors and brakes on the rear of your car. I said how can this be since I just bought the car and any repairs under 30 days should be covered. They said they found a non squeak spray on the brakes (which I put on trying to fix the problem) and they said this ruined the pads and rotors. So they went ahead and put on the new brakes and rotors and charged us $984 but said they would discount it to $761 since we just bought the car. I said there is NO WAY that a spray to stop squeaky brakes is going to ruin pads and rotors. After arguing to no avail about a week later I brought it back and they now said oh your front breaks now need all new pads and rotors. I said this is ridiculous and we drove the car to the Rochester dealership to look at it. The Rochester dealership said first of all no way would an anti squeak spray would ruin your pads and rotors. They said it's simply not possible. Then they looked at the front breaks and said not only are they ok but you have SIXTY PERCENT left on your pads. They did find out that actuators failed and that was the issue and those should have been covered under a recall according the Garber Honda out of Rochester. So not only did Depaula Mazda complete unnecessary repairs by putting on new pads and rotors to the back of my car. They were going to scam us into putting all new pads and rotors to the front of the car! So we want our $761 back for the brake service done to the rear brakes that should have never been done in the first place.
