I was contacted via email, text and Facebook by the Dept of Community Service Block Grant Board who claimed I was eligible for a $80,000 grant. However, they also referred to it as a "prize" and said I needed to first pay $1000 and, afterwards, the money would be delivered by FEDEX. When I balked at the $1000 they first said I could make payments over several weeks and they eventually lowered it to $300. I was also told to not discuss this with anyone.
