On Monday, January 25th, 2021, I received 2 ropes in the mail from a company calling itself

Dept.CA

5215 S Boyle Avenue

Vernon, CA 90058

I did not order these ropes (pictured). I can account for the ordering & receipt of all items I've purchased online in recent months, save for a Disney-themed item I've been waiting on purchased from a reseller that I ordered several months ago & have yet to receive.

Is this what I've come to learn is called a "brushing scam?"

We received an "Ultrasonic Pest Repeller" that we did not order with no associated paperwork enclosed or email history. I believe this produce was charged to our Paypal account. The only return company name is listed as "Dept.ca" with the address 13725 pipeline ave, Chino, CA. I see that ScamPulse.com and other organizations have listed multiple complaints against this address though it is listed here on ScamPulse.com as a closed business. I was able to find and call a number associated with this address online but it was no longer in service, as others have reported. I can assure you, it is in business and is still an active scam. Not sure exactly if anything else has been compromised as of yet. This address needs to be investigated - there is definitely something strange going on.
