I was contacted via email regarding an IRS position I had applied for on Indeed. I was instructed to email back with my availability to be scheduled for a zoom interview (the job position was listed as remote so this seemed normal). Once I replied with the days and times I was available for an interview I was emailed back with a "shortlisted application form" that I was requested to fill out and return along with photos of the front and back of my ID card. I filled out the form and sent the requested photos. At that time I was then sent another email requesting that I send them my ID.me login information or alternatively they could send me a link through which I could verify my identity, and at this time I began to suspect something was off. I did a quick Google search regarding IRS email scams and was almost immediately directed to the ScamPulse.com website and shown an experience identical to mine.
