On 2/9/2016 I was contacted by Lindsay O'Neal, HR representative at the company with a possible job offer. I asked some questions about pay, benefits, job description, etc. She sent a reply with all the so-called answers in an email. I have the emails back and forth. I agreed to the job offer, but they wanted to do a investigative consumer report background check and it looks official, and a employment agreement which also looks official. (checked later and it is a standard form on internet.) I digitally signed both documents and emailed them to her after digitally signing on Adobe. She contacted me on Friday, 2-13-2016 that I was hired and a green light for start date of Tuesday, 2-16-2016. I became dubious of the offer after she included in the hire email that she would send the w-4 information and the employment package for training in an email to me. As of this am, 2-14-2016, so I did investigation last night and this morning and reported them to the FTC, google, and to the NY Sec of State website after seeing web scam information, traceret them, seeing two websites for them as above and various other things I printed out on Yext.com that the website is only 5 days old, etc. I am concerned they might contact me to fund overseas contractors with checks to my bank account as this seems to be the scam listed on the web others have reported. I never gave my SSN, DOB, or bank account information as I never filled out a W-4 and I know you must do that to be employed just about anywhere. That was the red flag for me. Should I contact the credit bureaus since they have my name digital signature, address, email address, home phone and cell phone? What else do I need to do?
