These people are the worst business owners that I have ever had to deal with.
Please be careful when ordering custom made furniture or kennels! I put our messages in here, so you can see for your self! They looked really nice and honest when I met them, the moment I send them money, they never kept me updated about my order. After I finally was done with their lies and kept pushing to receive my order, they finally did it. Even that was a whole hasle! I am glad that I don't have to deal with them again! I was planning to order more, but definitely not with them!
Ps. I put a bad review on their Facebook page and they deleted it! Don't trust their page.
Dishonest con artist
I’ve had SEVERAL issues since I began the ordeal of ordering from designs by curlee back in January 2022. I clearly specified my first crates dimensions were for the interior of the crate and not the overall dimensions. I also paid for a 4 week turnaround. Initially I was told by Mitchell’s wife a 4 week turnaround meant the furniture would be built by 4 weeks not delivered by 4 weeks ( which wasn’t disclosed when I paid for expedited delivery) after expressing my dissatisfaction with the miscommunication I received my custom order 3 days after it was supposed to be delivered. The interior measurements were incorrect and they had to build me a new crate and re deliver it a couple weeks later.
The quality of the furniture was great and now that the interior measurements were correct I was satisfied. I ordered another custom piece from Mitchell directly and again gave him measurements for what the interior needed to be and a picture example of the crate I currently was using. Mitchell asked me to pay for this crate in full (which I thought was strange since they have a policy where you pay a deposit at time of order and the remaining balance at drop off) but since we had built a rapport I obliged with paying in full.
My custom order included the dimensions I asked for, we agreed on adding a drawer where the door folds down, and it was described on the invoice sent. (See attached) however, Mitchell (even though we just resolved an issue where I specified interior dimensions) did not consider the measurements I gave him to be the interior, rather the overall dimensions. He claims that because I paid the invoice where the dimensions were written that I agreed and that it was my fault for miscommunication. On the same side of things, the invoice clearly states the drawer should fold down and the interior dimensions of the drawer. Well upon delivery I noticed the drawer did not pull down, did not have the handle attached (which I had purchased in advance) and the dimensions were incorrect. He is shifting blame to me, refuses to take accountability for his wrong doing, and now has been ignoring my calls and texts while I await the replacement crate to be delivered.
He has used every excuse under the sun from delivery drivers quitting, to his trucks breaking down, to his wife having medical issues. As a business owner myself I would NEVER put my clients through the ringer this man has put me through. I tried to be patience and allow him to make this right, but he was suppose to call me yesterday to confirm deliver for Thursday 4/14/22 and did not. He also ignored my texts and calls from today 4/13/22.
Do yourself a favor and order from someone else. The product quality may be good but the customer experience is subpar.
