May 14-16, 2021 - 1 Bedroom - $475
October 15-17, 2021 - 3 Bedroom - $675
April 14-16, 2022 - 2 Bedroom - $600 (paid via apple cash) - for this stay we did not get the confirmation until late on April 13th, made us nervous, but she came through, so it didn't give us any red flags
January 13-15, 2023 - 3 Bedroom - $600 - cancelled on the evening of Jan 12 because they made it an owner priority weekend and the owner that was staying that weekend had a family emergency and had to cancel. She offered to switch our booking to any other date, including the summer and provided us a $300 future booking credit.
September 22-24, 2023 - 4 Room Presidential - $850 - we used the $300 credit for this stay, so our out of pocket was - $550 (we didn't use the credit as that trip was booked with a different group of friends) (paid Venmo to Blaine Jesberger) Sept 21st, she claimed the presidential was cancelled by the Wyndaham and offered us a 2 and a 3 bedroom. We of course took that and didn't receive the room confirmations until after noon on the 22nd. We ended up getting two, 2 bedrooms and one of the stays she extended to the 25th.
November 17-19, 2023 - 3 Bedroom - $700 - The week prior to arriving, she never answered any of my messages on Facebook, but ended up answering when I texted her directly. She claimed the owner was on a cruise and didn't get her confirmation, so she wasn't able to get me the confirmation number. After the September trip, we had started to question her 'business' and now after this occurrence, we ended up googling the information we had on her and found a new story about her scams, along with many other facebook public posts with warnings about booking with that business. We also found out her name and personal information. Colleen Wogernese Jesberger. She immediately blocked me from her new facebook account she was using in the group called Kate Deals even though I very nicely inquired about getting my refunds.
After all of these stays, I was out $600 for my January 13, 2023 stay and $700 for the November 17tth, 2023 stay. $1,300 total. This does not include the costs we incurred booking additional hotels last minute at other resorts. After many text messages to her two cell phone numbers as well as her husbands, I was able to recoup $650 dollars from 5 payments made to me via google pay from several different accounts. She still owes me $650.
I have a case open with the Illinois Attorney Generals Office currently.
