A woman reach out to me from her cell phone about a sales and marketing firm position(that I DID NOT apply to) and wanted me to interview . First interview went well and they wanted me to come in for a second . Position sounded too good to be true. Great weekly pay, fun work environment, travel opportunities and opportunities for fast advancement, opportunity to make over 6 figures in less than a year, but 100% commission based and door to door sales. They make you feel like it’s such an amazing opportunity then rush you to decide if you want the job or not. The same tactics they teach is what they use to get people in the door. It’s an ever lasting revolving door. The positions are mostly based on training and managing new recruits (pyramid scheme) and not really sales . You make more money and advancement from training people who do good rather than making sales . And sales are very hard to do. They force these tactics down your throat and they make you practice and don’t give you time to think about what’s really going on. You are working for free. I started on 12/11 and was told first paycheck wouldn’t be until 1/5/24. They want you to get 10 sales in a week for you to progress into next position. Constantly new groups of people starting every single day . So majority of the people waste their time working for free and if they get any sales it goes to the company and people can’t tolerate it long enough to even get their first paycheck so all the hours with no compensation. They want you to spend money to look super professional to be in a office for 2-3 hours getting lectured then go “in the field” to solicit and Harrass people in very uncomfortable and aggressive ways. No reimbursement for gas they want you to drive your own car to these residential areas that are mostly always an hour away and expect you to file the gas and mileage on your taxes ! They pressure you to commit to the job and convince you that if you don’t stay that you are missing out on the opportunity of a lifetime. They pressure you to come to the team bonding things they have a few times a week. And they travel every week and pressure you to come incentivizing the possibility to get promoted while out of town. Not from sales but from just being around and commuting yourself to them . Commuting to constantly train new people and can only progress within the company if you train people who hit a certain goal. So it’s an everlasting cycle and only a very select few are actually making money. Every body else is working for free until they can’t take it anymore . I was told by my brother he had a friend who worked there a few months prior but it was called a different name, Blue Marketing Company. I talked to her directly and was told by her that it was a scam and that she never got paid and went thru the same thing I did . I believe she also filed something against the company . They changed the name to Detroit Marketing Company, yet they claimed they were a new company. I did some research and couldn’t find any reviews on the company . I looked up the Facebook name “Blue marketing company” and looked through the pictures . Their staff is the same exact people that are currently working at “Detroit Marketing Company” , same exact building , different name. They post constantly on social media boasting about how happy and fun the work environment is and take pictures of everything . Always hiring new people . Don’t require any prior experience in sales . They pray on people who they feel like are low income and looking for a get rich quick type of thing. They overwhelm you with information to the point you can’t think about anything else but that the whole time you are there and can’t process what’s really going on. They skim over the pay but press everything else . The only thing they said about the pay is some complicated commission structure and A bunch of nonsense meant to confuse you so you just say okay and move on. These people are scammers and this can’t be a legitimate buisness . Everything is based on recruiting more and more people ! that never stay long enough to get paid . Meanwhile they are getting paid regardless. Only the people at the too get paid . Everybody else works for free because of false hope and promising all this fortune in the future . They emphasize entrepreneurship. They mislead people and misrepresent everything . Trick people into agreeing and then people end up eating valuable time working for them just to never see anything from it . They convince you that you will be able to get your sales and make your money but it’s nearly impossible. The people training you don’t even get the amount of sales in a week, yet they expect you to get it . Everything is a performance . The same sales tactics they teach is exactly what they’re using on new people to get them on board and it’s really psychological manipulation. They need to be shut down.
