After paying for rental of vehicle and receiving a final invoice, I was subsequently contacted November 3rd 2024 and told to fill out an accident report due to damage to the front bumper of the Toyota Prius I had rented. I sent an E-mail back to the person the following day, November 4th with the following statements:

QUOTE

Could you please send me a description of the damage and a picture of the damage as well?

I didn't hit anything when I had the car. I walked around the car before I drove it from your lot and when I returned it I walked around it and did not see any damage whatsoever.

Are you certain you were looking at the right car? The license plate number was: 9KXX512 (California).

END QUOTE

There was no further communication from the company, so a couple of days later I called my insurance company (USAA) to inform them of the scam to bilk insurance companies.

I took pictures of the Toyota Prius when I returned it from all angles and there is NO discernable damage whatsoever in the pictures.
