[email protected] Reports & Reviews (1)

- Paso Robles, CA, USA • Nov 13, 2024

I received an email that had my first and last name, my previous address I have but don't use, pay $1235.87 by November 15th. I showed to my attorney that is handling my chapter 13 case and he said it was a scam, report it to BBB. He confirmed there is nothing in my case that would be anywhere close to this amount. The email refers to "service interruption" and to use a PC to open the link to get FULL VIEW bill and pay online.

I work in Healthcare IT and have had my credit locked for years, open only to apply for credit. Then close again. I got a great internet protection and opted in for the dark web. It is identified that my email, name and previous address was along with possible SS#, phone and account numbers were exposed. I immediately closed my bank accounts and reopened new accounts, change all my passwords, keep my credit profile locked. I do know that there was a breach where I work and previous work but they have been monitoring my credit and notify me if I show up on their end. So I believe this is a new one.

I work in HeathCare IT, and strong knowledge of IT Security. So 100% know this is a scam. I do not click anything in email even from friends, and businesses I know. Run VPN for my remote work with strong encryption.

I want to assist in helping someone else that may be in jeopardy with these types of scams.
