I received a bill from Diagnostic Pathology Services saying I owed them $53 from some lab work done in March of 2023. The bill wasn't clear so I called Diagnostic Pathology and they said that my insurance told them, "Maximum benefits were reached," and I had to pay what was left. But when I called my insurance company they said the bill was already paid and I owed nothing. When I called Diagnostic Pathology back to tell them, they quickly took care of it and said to 'disregard the bill' and that I owed nothing. The call felt rushed as if they were trying to get rid of me. It sounded fishy and if I hadn't called, I would've paid this bill without thinking anything about it. But the date and the vagueness of the bill sent to me, seemed suspicious.
