I found an add on Facebook under one of the groups for “work from home” jobs. A guy contacted me and gave me all the right information. Then told me to download Skype so that I could chat with the hiring manager. I currently already have a job, I’m just looking for another source of income. Every time the “hiring manager” would try and call me via Skype, I was always at work so I wasn’t able to answer. We did my interview via Skype over text, which should’ve been my first clue as this was a scam. Said that I was a perfect fit, sent me over a legitimate contract (which is why I thought it was real) and told me to sign it and send it back to her. I had a gut feeling so I didn’t sign it quite yet until I had done more research. The company itself is a thing, but I think someone is trying to use that company name to hack into peoples bank accounts. She then tells me that the company wants to send an ‘electronic check’ to me via email so that I can deposit it into my bank account so that I can get all the supplies needed for working at home. This is where another red flag popped up for me. I looked them up on “BBB” and no company under that name was even on here so I knew it was a scam.
